We strive to be a dynamic community center encouraging wellness, learning and recreation for Sheboygan’s diverse semi-retired and retired residents.

Located within walking distance of Lake Michigan and in the Ellis Historical Neighborhood, we are a vibrant center with an emphasis on wellness, travel and the arts.  We enjoy partnerships with the John Michael Kohler Arts Center and UW-Sheboygan.  Active members lead programs, teach classes and are enthusiastically involved in the operation of all aspects of our organization.

Inclement Weather Policy

Here is your friendly reminder that when the Sheboygan School District closes due to weather conditions, we are also closed. Listen to WHBL or WTMJ or check our Facebook page for the latest information.

All items for the newsletter need to be submitted to Melissa Wolfe by the 5th of each month to melissa.wolfe@sheboyganwi.gov

We are now a Dementia-Friendly building. This means the staff have been trained to recognize signs of and help those with dementia, in order to help reduce the stigma and increase the inclusion of those with dementia.

Last year, SACS artists were able to display their talents at Glas Coffee Shop and at Mead Public Library. This year we are at it again! During the months of April and May, SACS artists will be the Artist in Residence at Glas and during May will be featured in the front display case at Mead Public Library.

If you are interested in having your paint-ings, drawings, photographs, woodcarvings, quilts, knitted/crochet items, or any other creative things you do on exhibit, bring them to Melissa by anytime between February 4th and March 22nd.
All pieces must be labeled with your name, age, and at what age you discovered your talent. All pieces will be ready for pick up at the beginning of June.

We are excited to once again have this amazing opportunity to show Sheboygan the incredible talent that we have here at SACS!

BIG Announcements

A Note from Wendy

I offer my heartfelt gratitude to all the people who have kept our fitness classes going for the past 2 months. Volunteers stepped up to lead classes and loyal members regularly showed up to participate, showing how important it is to support each other in health and wellness goals. Your commitment was amazing.

I am retiring at the end of March and this latest transition has given me time to restructure our team to better serve you as we go forward. Stay tuned - my replacement will be announced soon.

I am happy to announce the following positions:

SACS Coordinator

Melissa Wolf has accepted the position of SACS Coordinator (formerly the Assistant Supervisor position). With close to 2 years experience at SACS she will manage the day to day operations, development, implementation, and oversight of programs, staff and volunteers, and continue to create and maintain relationships with our community partners.

I am delighted to welcome back Rachel Conery in this new role. Rachel served as an intern last year and stepped into Kerri’s role during her medical leave. With a BA degree in Exercise Science and Sports Studies she will oversee our Health and Wellness programs and expand recreational programming for all of our clients.

Thank you for your patience and for your continued support as I work to create the dynamic team you all deserve.
